Denden football club to participate in the Kagame Cup club championships in Tanzania

Group A: Simba (TZ), Tusker (Ken), Vital’O(Bur), Benadir (Som)
Group B: URA (Uga), Rayon (Rwa), Denden(Eri), SID(Dji)
Group C: APR (Rwa), Yanga (TZ), Awassa (Ethi), Miembeni(Znz)
UGANDA Revenue Authority has been drawn against bogey team SID FC from Djibouti in the July 12-27 Kagame Cup club championships in Tanzania.
URA will have to contend with SID that stunned them 1-0 in the 2007 edition of the cup in Kigali, before the Ugandans overcame the setback to reach the final which they lost to APR.
Other teams pitted against URA in Group B include 1998 champions, Rayon Sports of Rwanda and Denden from Eritrea who are making their debut in the 32nd edition of the championship.
The draw, released by CECAFA secretary Nicholas Musonye in Nairobi on Friday, had defending champions, APR of Rwanda drawn in Group C together with Young Africans of Tanzania, Awassa (Ethiopia) and Miembeni (Zanzibar).
Group A includes Simba (Tanzania), Tusker (Kenya), Vital’O (Burundi) and Benadir (Somalia).
CECAFA has signed a contract with Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation who had secured the TV rights for US$60,000.
